Corinne Day:
I mainly photograph teenagers, and they lie down on the floor, they lie on the couch, they look scruffy. And if the girl or the boy looks slightly tired, and there’s like, you know spilled ashtrays on the floor, and stained carpets, and old cups of coffee lying around, well, normally in the context fo fashion magazines people don’t see those types of images, because they’re so real. And it’s because they’re so real that they’re disturbing. I find it puzzling the way people can’t deal with reality.
